MG 5366: TWO OVAL MOTHER OF PEARL SHELLS,
BETHLEHEM, 19TH CENTURY
The shell on the left of the photograph,
depicts the Risen Lord.
The one on the right the Nativity scene.
These shells were made for Pilgrims in Bethlehem
in the 19th.century, by local Palestinian craftsman.
Size 12×9 cm.
